Lamine Yamal's Attempted Break-In After World Cup Final

Lamine Yamal’s night of glory with the National Team almost ended in shock at home.

Just hours after helping secure a place in the World Cup final, the young Barça star became the target of an attempted break-in at his house in Esplugues de Llobregat in the early hours of the morning.

Attempted break-in at 4 a.m.

At around four o’clock, private security staff monitoring the property’s cameras spotted two intruders wearing balaclavas trying to climb the wall surrounding the house. The images showed them attempting to gain access under cover of darkness, picking their moment while the player was away on international duty.

The reaction from the security team was immediate. Once the intruders realised they had been detected, they abandoned the attempt, bolted from the wall and disappeared from the area before they could reach the interior of the property.

Rapid response and investigation

The guards quickly alerted the Mossos d'Esquadra. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) has already taken charge of the case, which is being treated as an attempted burglary with force.

No entry was made, and no injuries have been reported, but the incident underlines a growing and troubling pattern: elite footballers returning from the biggest nights of their careers are increasingly finding that danger can be waiting not in the stadium, but at their own front door.
